This was a playful promotional motion graphic I created for use on YouTube and other social media venues. This was a Portland specific animation intended to communicate the client's ability to pair people with the right birth control. I started by creating a storyboard, then created the 2D illustrations in Illustrator. I provided art direction, created the illustrations, wrote the copy (which was edited by their copyeditor), performed and recorded the voiceover, selected the music, and edited it all together in After Effects.
This animation experiment was created in After Effects. I used Illustrator to create all the illustrations. Then I sourced sound and music, and spliced it all together to make a fun and silly TV bumper.
Create an animated GIF for social media based on a poster I illustrated and designed to inspire patients to donate to the client's Patient Assistance Fund.
Create an animated GIF for social media to educate clients and potential clients about about long-acting contraceptives. Worked within brand guidelines to provide concept and imagery.
This 2D animation project was created in After Effects. I created it for my Certification in Animation from HOW Design University. All illustrations and textures were created in Illustrator in layers. Then image and music were assembled in After Effects to create a little Portland promo—of sorts.
This podcast was created as a student project for a blog I used to run called Arts Interviews. For this project I wrote interview questions for artist Michelle Swinehart, visited and interviewed her on her farm (recorded using a small hand held recorder), edited the content, and produced and sang in the intro.
Here's an excerpt from the blog post I created for the project:
As a child Swinehart would take a Fisher Price tape recorder, press record, then leave the room while family members would unknowingly have their conversations recorded. Although, at the time, this caused a fair share of family feuding, the seed for her practice as a documentary artist was sewn.
Swinehart has a background in documentary work through New York non-profit StoryCorps and film work through studies at Ohio University. She draws from many literary sources and real world experiences to find meaning and focus for her social practice project Ridgefield Residents. At the time of recording, Swinehart was an MFA candidate in Social Practice at Portland State University.
